Pravasi Legal Cell has been constituted and works to provide possible help to the poor and needy in the society, who cannot afford to voice their concerns. In the last few years of its existence, it has positively intervened in demanding justice for many and could make its presence felt at various levels. Hon’ble Mr Justice K.G. Balakrishnan Konakuppakatil Gopinathan Balakrishnan (born 12 May 1945) was the former Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission of India. He is a former Chief Justice of India. He was the first judge from the state of Kerala, and also from a Scheduled Caste background, to become the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. His tenure lasting more than three years has been one of the longest in the Supreme Court of India.
